Materials:
Stove
Baking Pan
Krylon BBQ & Stove Flat Black Spray Paint
220 Grit Sand Paper
Orange Stained Glass Paint
Paint Brush
Micro Fiber Towels
Caulking Gun
Black Premium Waterproof 100% Silicon Caulk
(Window/Door/Attic/Basement/Trim)
Screwdriver



So first you take the headlights


Put them in the oven for 5 minutes @ 250 degrees
On a baking pan!
No longer or it's too hot to touch and you'll melt the headlight
It's just hot enough to pull the headlight apart

Be careful with the clips, if you bend them back too much.
They will break.

Use a knife or screwdriver to break apart the silicon seal.

Then you take this piece


Sand it down with 220 grit sand paper


Don't put a lot of pressure, it's just to scratch it up. Like this


Then wipe it off and I used bbq & stove paint
I did about 3-4 coats


Which actually does dry in about 10 minutes
Should look like this


While that's drying take the honeycomb pieces out of the lens



I did 4 coats because it will fade with the sun.
Use a bigger brush than comes in the package to get smoother lines.

Those took about 30 minutes to dry
So I started to assemble the rest of the headlight
Make sure to wipe the inside of the lens before assembling
You don't want fingerprints inside.




Then you take your silicon caulk and do a nice thick line
Around the grooves of the headlight.
Stick it together as much as you can then put it in the oven again
250 degrees for about 3 minutes, to soften up the old caulk.



When it's nice and hot take it out and push it together the rest of the way.
Wipe off any excess caulk around the edges.

Let it sit for 24hrs and then make sure there aren't any places missing caulk.

and you're done!

not bad, me and a friend used to do this with rsx headlights in HS for money. did a ton of them, black with a light gold flake in them. ppl used to buy them from us all the time.
