Default How much would it be to register my car

alright just about done riding dirty and want to go about things the right way and get my car registered and was wondering about how much is it going to be to register it. I drive a 94 teggy and the title is already in my name.

I have registered a car before and it came out to be $300+. Ended up selling the car in early 09 and havent registered a car since then. Would i still have to pay an initial registration fee of $225 when i go to register the car? I also still have the liscense plate from the previous car i registered so all i would have to do is pay a $7.35 transfer fee. Also whats the difference between Annual tax and Biennial tax?

sorry if this confused you..HELP PLEASEEE:D

Oh dear god.

When you register the vehicle they're going to look at the value put for car sold. For example if it says $1000 than you pay 6% tax on that plus whatever applicable fees. Since you already have a plate it makes things easier and cheaper. You need your title, and proof of insurance to register the car.

Annual means its good for a year from your Date of Birth. So if you register 2 months before your birthday, you'll pay again on your birthday month.

Bi-annual means you pay for 2 years at this years current rate. Next year fees may go up so depending on how expensive it is this year, it may be worth it to do bi-annual.

An example. When I had my 1990 240sx I paid $37 a year for registration. I bought a new 2009 Subaru and my registration is 102 a year. However I have a specialty license plate which is "Protect the Panther" thats $50 a year plus $52 for the actual registration of the car.

And last tip for the day, I recommend going back to school.
